Toys and Games
Though frontier children were expected to work, there was also time for play. Toys were simple, and were handmade. Barrel hoops were popular.
There were slates - used for lessons and drawing - dice made from musket balls pounded into a cube, and felt balls made from wool. (They don't bounce very well!)
